Your affiliate link, code and QR

The tracked link, the code and the QR a Shop affiliates partner shares: how a click is remembered, how a code works at the till, why a second code stays a request to the shop, and the share kit of messages, links and files the business prepares for you.

Partner

Once you accept a Shop affiliates invitation, your portal gives you everything you share with a shopper (a link, a code, and a QR that both point at the same place) and a running count of who has clicked.

Your link and your code are the same offer, two ways to share it

The link works anywhere you can paste a URL, such as a bio, a story or a WhatsApp message. The code works anywhere a shopper types something, such as the shop's own cart, or the till if they buy in person. Both are yours alone; a sale through either one is credited to you the same way.

  • A click on your link is remembered for the shop's cookie window (usually 30 days), so a sale days later still counts.
  • Your code works the moment it is typed, with no cookie needed, which is why it also works at a till.
  • The QR is the same short link, ready to print or paste into a story.

Your code, shown beside your link

The Your code card on Links, and the Your link card on your portal home, show the code on its own next to the link, each with its own copy button, so you can read the code out on a call instead of picking it out of the middle of a web address. A customer can type it in small or capital letters; both are the same code.

Your promo code, and making a new one

New code on the promo-code card makes your new code first and retires the old one only once the new one exists. If making the new code fails, nothing changes: your old code keeps working and the card says what went wrong, so you are never left without a code.

A workspace you own, or that a member of your team owns, or that carries your own PAN or GSTIN, is never credited to you as a referral, and neither is a client workspace you run under your own login. That is why your own business never counts toward your commission.

Links for your team

On a partner firm with a team, an owner or admin sees Team links on this screen: make a link for any team member, or for yourself, and each link is listed with whose it is, its clicks and scans, and a copy and QR button. A team member sees only their own link, which is made for them the first time they open this screen. Their QR codes and their share kit download carry that link only, never the firm’s own link or a colleague’s. Every signup through any of these links is credited to the firm; the link only records who shared it.

Your share kit: messages, links and files

The business that runs your programme prepares a share kit for you, and it is at the bottom of your Links screen. Messages already carry your own link, so you can send one to WhatsApp, copy it, or paste it as an Instagram caption. Files from the business, such as a product PDF, a price sheet, images and a short video, each have a Download button, and images show a preview.

  • Download everything gives you one zip: every message with your link in it, all your links, your codes and every file.
  • If the files are too large for one download, the screen tells you the total and you download them one at a time.
  • Nothing in the kit yet? You cannot add to it yourself. Ask the business; they add everything you see here.

"Request another code"

You cannot mint your own second code. That stays a request to the shop, so every code the shop hands out is one it chose to.

Frequently asked questions

Can I mint my own second code?

No. That stays a request to the shop. Every code an affiliate carries is one the shop chose to hand out.

Does my code work at the till, not just online?

Yes. A partner code is an ordinary shop promotion under the hood, so the same code a cashier types at the till and a shopper types at checkout online both credit you the same way.

Can each person on my team have their own link?

Yes. An owner or admin makes one for anyone on the team under Team links on this screen, and a team member gets their own the first time they open it. Every signup is still credited to your firm; the link only records who shared it, and Team shows each person's clicks, scans, signups and paying customers.
