Run an agency's money on Finocket

Retainers that draft themselves, milestone billing that can't over-bill, hours that never bill twice, and a referral program whose commission statements reconcile to the ledger.

Running an agency's money on Finocket.

Agencies bill monthly retainers, project milestones and hours that must never bill twice. As you grow, a referral network adds commission that has to reconcile to the ledger.

  1. Put retainers on autopilot

A recurring rule drafts each cycle’s invoice with your numbering; review and send. If your invoice lines have a Period covered field (some trade packs add one, or add a text field by that name yourself under Custom fields on invoice lines), each draft fills it on every line with the dates that cycle covers, for example 1 Oct 2026 to 31 Oct 2026, so one cycle ends the day before the next begins. The Professional services template prints it as a column, and hides the column when no line has one. Change it on the draft if a cycle is irregular. With the services pack on, you can also start a retainer’s monthly billing from Practice records.
  2. Bill milestones without over-billing

Progress billing caps every tranche so the total can never exceed the agreed amount.
  3. Turn tracked hours into invoices

Time entries convert to draft invoices at the right rate card, and hours can’t bill twice.
  4. Run referrals like a program

Partner programs attribute referred clients, accrue on collected revenue only, and hand your CA locked statements with the tax paperwork computed.

Log a lead from your phone between meetings, then build the retainer billing run from a desktop. See what each device is best for.

Frequently asked questions

Is there an automation that checks reverse charge on overseas bills?

Yes. Overseas bills without reverse charge runs monthly and lists bills from suppliers with no Indian GSTIN that were booked as ordinary expenses, next to the ones already under reverse charge. It never flips the reverse-charge toggle itself; you or your CA decide each bill. Whether a Google or Meta ads bill carries Indian GST depends on which company invoiced you; check each bill with your CA.

Will Finocket remind me before my LUT expires?

LUT before the next export invoice counts down to the LUT expiry you recorded in GST settings and says what is due before the next export invoice. Filing the renewal happens on the GST portal under your own login. It does not track whether a foreign client paid within the year.
